Introduction

 

Stainless steel balls are usually produced by forging processes. At this stage, the commonly used stainless steel balls are made of 201, 302, 304, 316, 316L, 420, and 440C.

Definition: Steel that contains more than 12% chromium and is resistant to chemical substances.

Principle: Stainless steel does not rust, but it is not easy to rust.

 

The principle is that by the addition of chromium elements, a dense chromium oxide layer is formed on the surface of the steel, which can effectively block the re-contact between the steel and the air, so that the oxygen in the air cannot enter the steel, thereby achieve the effect of preventing steel from rusting.

 

Classification: China National Standards (CNS), Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) and American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) use three digits to indicate different stainless steels and are widely cited by industry offices. Among them, 200 series are chromium-nickel-manganese series Austenitic stainless steel, 300 series is chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel, 400 series chromium stainless steel (commonly known as stainless iron), including martensite and ferrite.

Material comparison:

Domestic 420 is mainly divided into two types of steel balls, 2Cr13 steel balls (corresponding to the Japanese standard: SUS420J1 stainless steel balls) and 3Cr13 steel balls (corresponding to the Japanese standard SUS420J2 stainless steel balls). Both of these steel balls have hardness. Many customers consider that 410 stainless steel ball (corresponding to the national standard: 1Cr13 steel ball) and 430 stainless steel ball (1Cr17 steel ball) have the same hardness. Although the two steel balls are the same 4 series stainless steel balls, the metallographic structure is different: one is martensitic steel , The other is ferritic steel.

 

Features:
