Product Details
High-carbon chromium bearing steel refers to high-carbon alloy steel with a chromium content of 1.40-1.65%. Its feature are the microstructure after heat treatment is relatively uniform and stable, good wear resistance, high stress fatigue strength, good dimensional stability and wear resistance.
This type of steel can meet the processing requirements under general working conditions. The brand numbers of ordinary high-carbon chromium bearing steel are GCr15 and GCr15SiMn. The performance of these two types of bearings is basically the same. But the hardenability of GCr15SiMn is better than GCr15, so GCr15SiMn is used for relatively large bearing parts.
Because GCr15SiMn has high crack sensitivity and low impact resistance, it cannot fully meet the requirements for thick-walled bearings and mine bearings. Therefore, the railway department does not allow the use of CGr15SiMn on passenger car bearings. It is also limited to thick-wall rolling mills and mining machinery under large compact loads.
