After quenching and tempering, it exhibits high and uniform hardness (high hardness and uniform structure), good wear resistance, and high contact fatigue performance. This steel has medium cold workability, average cutting performance, poor weldability, sensitivity to the formation of white spots, and temper brittleness. GCr15 bearing steel typically contains C 0.95-1.05, Mn 0.25-0.45, Si 0.15-0.35, S ≤ 0.025, P ≤ 0.025, Cr 1.40-1.65, Mo ≤ 0.10, Ni ≤ 0.30, Cu ≤ 0.25, and Ni+Cu ≤ 0.50.
